Our Funders and Supporters
Choose Life is grateful for the support of our funders and grant providers whose contributions enable us to deliver educational programmes, recovery support, employability initiatives, and community engagement activities across Merseyside and beyond. Their investment helps us continue making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by addiction and related challenges.

Funding Award from The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation
Choose Life is proud to have received a grant of £52,074 over a three-year period (2024–2027) from the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation.
This funding supports the delivery of the Choose Life Employability Project for Ex-Offenders, helping individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction rebuild their lives through education, employability training, volunteering opportunities and community engagement.
The project aims to support 72 individuals through bespoke employability courses while delivering 90 educational events in schools, colleges, universities and professional settings. Through lived-experience education, participants are empowered to share their stories, inspire positive change and help prevent others from becoming involved in substance misuse and criminal activity.
Choose Life is extremely grateful for the support of the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation, whose investment is helping us create opportunities, reduce reoffending and improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
Continuing Support from the PH Holt Foundation
Choose Life is grateful for the continued support of the PH Holt Foundation, which has provided funding to the organisation on multiple occasions over several years.
The Foundation has played an important role in supporting our employability programmes, enabling participants to develop confidence, gain practical skills and prepare for opportunities in employment, education and volunteering.
This funding has helped individuals overcome barriers associated with addiction, homelessness and social exclusion, while also supporting the delivery of educational workshops within schools, colleges and community settings.
The PH Holt Foundation's ongoing commitment demonstrates its confidence in the value and impact of Choose Life's work across Merseyside and beyond.

Dong Energy
Choose Life is delighted to announce that Dong Energy is funding a whole Choose Life/Employability course !!!
The course will consist of putting eight ex-offenders who are in recovery from drugs and alcohol on a ten day employ-ability course.
The whole course will take place in the Bootle, Crosby and Southport areas of Liverpool. The Birkenhead and Wallasey areas of Wirral and the Flintshire areas of North Wales.
These are obviously the areas that Dong Energy has there wind farms that are providing the local areas clean and green energy for the benefit of us, our kids and grandkids.
Big news....
We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded just under £10,000 to take sixteen people from Liverpool who were very recently homeless and put them on a bespoke employability/Choose Life course.
During the course participants will write out a C/V and a Disclosure Statement. They will learn interview techniques and go on a "formal interview".
After the formal interview (by our trustees) they will receive feedback that will help them as they try to renter the employment market.
We have facilitated many Choose Life employability courses and received "effective" the highest rating on North Wales engagement gateway ESF funding.
We will be putting on the results at a later date.
